Anna Rice is a Music graduate of Trinity College Dublin and holds an MA in Ethnomusicology from the Irish World Music Centre (University of Limerick). Her compositional involvement spans Theatre, Film and TV. Since completing her studies last year, Anna has created scores for Wonderland's "The Seagull After Chekhov" (ESB Dublin Fringe Festival 2004), short film The Trip (RAG Productions, Cork Film Festival 2005) and worked as orchestrator on the Irish feature film, Winter's End. She also co-wrote the title song to the BBC cartoon series Zombie Hotel (BBC2 / Alphanim).

Through her involvement with the UCLA/Screen Training Ireland Film Scoring Programme, Anna was a selected composer on the European Moonstone Filmmaker's Lab earlier this year. She maintains a successful violin teaching practice and holds a Licentiate Diploma from the Royal Schools of Music, London (LRSM) in violin performance. She gigs regularly with her string quartet and in the past has worked as a backing musician with Sinead O'Connor, Finbar Furey, Brian Kennedy, Frankie Gavin and Phil Coulter.

In 1999 Anna was Ireland's highest scholarship recipient to Berklee College of Music, USA. Current scoring projects include Wonderland's musical Smoke 'Em Out and Hinson Films' (USA) WWII TV documentary Bataan: No Mama, No Papa, No Uncle Sam.
